#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERHis name is Tom Booker. His voice can calm wild horses, his touch can heal broken spirits. And Annie Graves has traveled across a continent to the Booker ranch in Montana, desperate to heal her injured daughter, the girl’s savage horse, and her own wounded heart. She comes for hope. She comes for her child. And beneath the wide Montana sky, she comes to him for what no one else can give her: a reason to believe.
The Horse Whisperer is a truly remarkable peace of literature, no matter the age of the reader. Nicholas Evans leads us through a reality check in what matters most in life when everyday illusions are shed. On her search to give her daughter back the horse that once lifted her life, the mother finds even that even in an amniable wedlock, she has been robbed of true passion in her life. Passion is found, and her daughters youth is once restored as it should be. The style of writing in this novel is one that invokes a mutitude of questions that lies within each one of us.
I read this book years ago. It was an excellent read then and I plan to read it again on a long flight. It was made into a movie with Robert Redford, which was very good too although a bit different. A very touching love story.
I am a true horse lover and I have this book in real life I just didn't have the time to read it because I have been busy working on my Breyer model horse collection but I do intend on reading this :) I read the first 20 pages
